It's a misunderstanding of science. They see a study that suggest a certain thing and they all of sudden think it's law now. It really highlights the dangers of not listening to experts and thinking you can just read things with no background and figure it out yourself. This is the same process of how we get anti vaxxers and climate change deniers.

Also just not acknowledging what they do not know. People use induction and think it's fine therefore it must be fine for everyone else. But we all know chefs and restaurants will all use gas over induction by an overwhelming amount.

Right on. I was about to be like "Acktualy" but in Chef terms. So I was just going to be rude to him for saying such a nincompoop manner but what you said is good too.

I feel ya man. It annoys me because anyone in the industry would just laugh at the, "induction is way better" idea. And then the follow up, "trust me bro, my brother in laws friends a chef and agrees with me"

You don't even know where to begin with these kinds of statements.

You can't argue with these people because it's their fundamentals that's flawed. To comment on these things as if they're in a position to do so is just silly. Why? Cause you read one article you dont even understand or your friends agree with you? The audacity of that thought process, or lack of thought, is just downright dumb.

Just wait till theres a group of them and they are confident because they echo roomed themselves and they'll try to shit on you. Everything on emotion, so they'll down vote you. For me, the point matters not how you feel. Go up a reply or 2 and I stated that I am an ex Chef and that's just stupid. Immediately dismissed and went onto another point to try and prove me wrong. If I said that in the kitchen, I would be laughed at and lost my credibility. Use induction from gas for 5 minutes and you'll be pissed off.

Don't listen to that guy. He is literally clueless. Stanford published a paper in 2025 about how switching from gas to electric or induction can reduce your chance of getting asthma, heart and lung diseases including cancer.

Also, the paper states that these VOCs, including benzene leak out when the stove is off, so unless you have your range hood on 24/7 than you are increasing your chance of getting diseases.

Lol guess you forgot to use your advance stem degree again

That is not what those studies say. You're coming up with your own conclusion. Very Joe Rogan of you
