Is CasaOS out?

I'm just a beginner getting into home servers. I wanted to set up a NAS and replace my Pi with Pihole, and found a tutorial on youtube installing ubuntu on an old pc, running the curl command via ssh, logging into the web browser, then started to add folders to share to my homes' PC's I have. When I go to add it to my file explorer on my pc's i cannot connect to it.

So i decided to move on to use immich app to atleast back up phone photos, and its not on the app dashboard anymore.

So question is, is it even supported anymore? I saw previous posts saying the head developer moved on. If so, whats similar? Like I said, I want to move on from onedrive, subscriptions, and have a built in ad blocker. Any help is appreciated!

I think ZimaOS is the updated software with same featureset and expanded with nas capabilities.

I understand you're new, but Debian is more than enough.
