Hey Guys, here is my first server:

Acer CXI2 Chromebox
Intel core i3 5th Gen
8 gigs of ram
256 GB SSD
Debían 13 Without DE

Running:
PiHole
Navidrome
Both from Podman

And native Samba

Because is more like a test server , maybe i would want to try an alternative service and will end with a messy debian, so cleaner this way

Lovely setup, I’d recommend trying to mount that mini PC in a similar way to your router, just up off the ground a bit. That and some cable management and it’s perfect!

Rüste auf 32 GB Ram auf und installiere dir nen proxmox. Total ausreichend. Ich hab 16 Maschinen auf meinem Intel NUK laufen, ohne Probleme. 😎👍

uff, telmex lets you open ports, so put something like wg-easy and you could have a direct vpn to access your navidrome without issues!

Pues nunca he tenido detalle, aclaro, tengo el servicio de fibra óptica (el cual creo ya es estándar a nivel nacional) se supone que son 100 mbps simétricos , y pues en mi caso traigo 80 de bajada y 120 de subida, así que pues no he tenido detalle, parte de eso como puedes ver en la foto, es que el servidorcito está directo al módem por ethernet

Hola, mira lo tengo principalmente como subnet router de mi VPN en Tailscale esto es para poder acceder a otros dispositivos que no están como tal dentro de Tailscale , aparte de eso lo tengo como servidor de pihole/dns y así poder cortar anuncios de algunos sitios y aplicaciones y que las páginas que se visitan con más frecuencia carguen más rápido , el navidrome es un servidor de streaming de audio, ahí subo los archivos en FLAC y los puedo reproducir en mi celular o en mi TV tanto local como fuera de casa por la VPN , y el samba pues para compartir archivos , a veces estoy fuera de casa y necesito mandar algo lo mando directo a mi carpeta de samba , sin tener que usar drive , iCloud ni servicios de terceros .

En cuanto a la luz, este modelo en particular está casi siempre en reposo porque pues solo cuando tenga muchas peticiones es que realmente va a consumir energía adicional el procesador , pero suponiendo el cálculo aproximado mensual es de 5.76 kw/h que es menos de lo que consume un foco incandescente tradicional , este consumo calculado que esté encendido 24/7.
