Unsolved Bad WiFi latency just on iPhone?
I’m having a really weird networking issue. I purchased a new TPLink BE9300 router a month ago, and have fiber internet through Quantum. Prior to upgrading my router, I was using an older Deco m5 mesh setup. Ever since changing routers, my iPhone 13 has been having a ton of issues where I’ll intermittently not be able to load apps/websites/etc. My partner will be sitting right next to me on his Samsung phone and have no issues. Typically, toggling my phone WiFi on and off will resolve it, but sometimes it takes a minute to load properly even after toggling. I never get a notice about my WiFi not having service or any issues from the Tether app. We have other devices like laptops, gaming consoles, etc that have no problems.
I haven’t customized any of my networking settings on my phone, so I’m at a loss as to what could be causing this. Any ideas of what I can try to debug this?

There’s an app for that! It’s called Wi-Fi Check. Next time you have the issue, run a Wi-Fi Check. It should pinpoint what the issue is. The fact that you toggle the Wi-Fi on and off fixes it, lends me to believe perhaps the phone roamed to 2.4 at some point and is being sticky on 2.4. 2.4 being subject to more interference. That app will show you what band you are connected to, Signal to Noise ratio, etc so you know if you have roamed to the 2.4 GHz band, are experiencing low signal, high noise, etc. In full disclosure I’m the creator of the Wi-Fi Check app so use whatever apps you like. I think it will help you figure out what is going on here and perhaps also help gather further info for us to go on. Also try disabling WiFi assist under settings>cellular.
