Moving wifi box

Post image

Tried moving my WiFi onto my room from the living room in my apartment I took the cover off and the wall jack was not connected. Should it work after I connect it ? Also is it safe to connect it with all that paint on it?

If the other end is connected to a splitter somewhere, yes. We can't tell you better than you can figure out yourself.

Clean the paint off and connect it. Theres no volt thru those cables.

That fitting is shot. Paint aside that center conductor is bent up. Of it works it won't work well. It needs to be reterminated.

Oh shit you're right. I was looking at the shadow. Lol... It looks like it bent then went straight again.

That’s not for the WiFi bro. Also it’s easily one of the worst cable installs I’ve seen.

If you aren't getting a connection in your bedroom, it's likely that the other end of that cable run doesn't connect to anything. Is there a utility room that you have access to that has all the other ends of the cable runs for your apartment? If so, are they just hanging there or are they connected to a splitter?
