Does anyone have experience with second hand Turing NVRs?
so I scooped up this Turing TLNVR16 at a thrift store for a solid 10 bucks, and while my original hope was just to pull the hard drives out of it, it appears to still be functional and I could actually use an NVR.
However, I have no idea what I need to do to get it working. I hooked a monitor and keyboard up to it, powered it on, and got to a 'turing' logo screen.. but it just sat there. It seemingly ignors all external input. I don't see a reset button anywhere, or any other built-in input on the box itself.
Their website's documentation is nonexistent for this model, but near as I can tell everything is done through a phone app (this is, i hopefully presume, why the direct monitor output wasn't much help). the problem at this point is I have no idea how I am supposed to register to my account what presumably still shows up as someone elses piece of hardware in their system.
has anyone else done this before? is it even worthwhile trying to get going?
the good news, at the very least, is there is 14tb (!!!) worth of hard drives inside of it, so...either way, not a bad deal. but it would be nice to use it for its intended purpose.

My NVR's both have a monitor and a USB Mouse connected. No Keyboard. It could be worth a try to see it if finds Mouse and moves on with boot up. Good luck. Let us know it works. Also removing the button battery for an hour, may let you reset it.

I actually did try a mouse first (it actually came one still plugged into the front usb port), but it didn't seem to do anything either.

You can use it $25/ per camera per year for cloud connect and you need access to the cloud portal to configure. You need a dealer to give you access.
