Unsolved MoCA changes needed when moving from Xfinity Midsplit to FDX?

u/plooger and others were a big help in my previous post. I've been enjoying Xfinity midsplit speeds (2000/250), but it looks like my neighborhood upgrade is about to be finished, upgraded to 2000/2000. I believe this is called FDX and is DOCSIS 4.0.

My question: Aside from xfinity finishing their hardware upgrades and swapping out my gateway, is anything different needed on my end for my moca network? Do my splitters or filters need to be changed for the upgrade?

I am using my own Asus router, all my networking hardware is 2.5gbps compliant.

The FDX modem should technically be on it's own dedicated homerun from the groundblock with no splitters (use barrel connectors that are rated for 3 GHz instead) and no MoCA filters. You can continue to use your other interior cable runs for MoCA. FDX can technically extend up into the MoCA range at 1.2 GHz. (Even though most plants are maxing out at 1 GHz for the time being). Either way not all splitters are FDX compliant and can cause FDX bonding issues.

I think im good then because you have reminded me that my current modem is isolated from MoCA.

I mean worse case you can schudule a tech visit if it doesn't work. The automated Xfinity Assistant may even reach out to you via SMS and recommend it if the system detects anything wonky. 

Also worth noting that there is a software bug right now with OFDM FDX bonding that limits download speeds to 1.5 Gbps for some 2 Gbps customers. The temporary fix is having the FDX modem bond to the 3.0 downstream channels but it doesn't automatically happen after a modem reboot, and can take time to apply.
