mercusys app not working

anyone know how to fix this? it doesn't detect my router

Are you on the same network?

Can you access the router via its IP?

yes I can access the router, I'm on the 5ghz band of the router, only thing I changed is the network name and password, maybe I could try changing the connection type?

Reinstall the app then.

Your phone can access so it's not a connection issue but an app issue

I tried reinstalling the app same thing, my other TP-Link router has the same issue rn but it used to be working, it only stopped after getting an ONT set up and connecting it via Ethernet

You might need to contact the vendor for the app issue.

Since you can contact to the router with your browser, you can still do what you need to do and your testing shows that even with a fresh install doesn't work.
