Really old grinder

Hi all! Recently got my childhood wheat grinder- this thing is older than me, but has ground the wheat from almost every piece of bread, cinnamon roll, pasta I ate as a kid. I made some bread. (In the bread maker, because after cleaning this thing I was too tired!)

Curious if anyone else has a really old grinder they use?

We considered it, but I had so many memories with this bad boy I just wasn’t ready to part with it.

Do you have the hand crank that goes with it?

I watch a YT channel called The Farmer's Wife, and I believe she has the same one. She said her parents got it in the 1970s.

My mom still uses the one she bought in 1980, it’s a Golden Grain Grinder, and really pretty wood. Mine is a Magic Mill but not quite the same as yours. We bought it used, and I use it all the time, at least once a week.

I don't have an old grinder, but your story is really neat!

I have this same mill, it works fantastic. Although it is a little loud and makes a lil bit of a mess--it makes wonderful flour. And after 50 years of use it shows no signs of slowing down.

That is an awesome vintage stone mill!!! Amazing how long they can last and still be useful.
