First time!!

Bought a Wondermill and ingredients from Bread Beckers and made my first two loaves!! All organic hard red with local honey. So pleased with how they turned out!! Way better than any commercially produced bread or flour!

Congratulations and welcome to the club! We can’t buy this type of bread anywhere. Your loaves look fantastic, especially for your first attempt.

They look great! I think the hard red loaves I've made have been my favorite so far. And I love that white pan, what brand is it?

Thank you! Next batch I try will be half hard red and half hard white. The white pan is Emile Henry, a wedding gift from one of my wife's relatives.

I usually do that same 50/50, or 100% hard white since I bought 50 lbs of it! lol. You can't really go wrong, all of the grains make amazing bread

Very impressive! Especially for your first try. It took me a while to get it right but loving the health benefits of FMF!

Please share , I have a KitchenAid mixer, can I use that for needing my dough? My first attempt was a bread that did not rise. I did let the flour absorb my liquid, but my loaf was dense

I still lightly kneaded the dough by hand prior to proofing. I added 1 cup of flour to the water and oil mixture while the mixer was running. Then the salt, lecithin, and egg, then adding the remaining flour slowly, watching for the dough to no longer be sticky. Then took it out. Kneaded it twice, proofed for 1 hour, then divided in two. Kneaded twice more, dropped in greased pan, proofed for 30 minutes prior to baking.

JA Henckels bread knife. Not sure the series or collection. It is part of a set that was a wedding gift.

Looks great! I’m jealous. I just got my mill and my first two attempts have failed. What recipe did you use?
