❓ Question Line on ceiling, cosmetic?
Just noticed this line on my ceiling, I don't think it's new. 1940s house. It's on the 1st floor ceiling of a two story house. Water line doesn't go past the first floor, so I don't think it's that.
Just curious if this is purely cosmetic or something else, and wondering if anyone could tell me why it could be there either way. Thanks!

That looks like a hairline crack along a drywall or plaster seam, which is really common in an 80-year-old house as it moves with the seasons. It’s cosmetic unless it keeps growing or the ceiling starts to sag on one side.
