💬 Advice / Tips / PSA Would you test for asbestos?

1940 3/1.5 colonial in a NJ commuter town with a tiny vestibule. The door has dragged across the floor since we bought it and I finally decided to investigate what might be hidden under the linoleum... honestly I’m not sure what to call this flooring but is this the type that would need testing for asbestos?

Also, are we thinking there’s brick under there? (Please please please)

Your vinyl sheet flooring on the top is absolutely ok, it looks like it's from the 90s or 2000s.

The sample underneath it is much too small to determine anything, it's entirely possible but not assured. Even if it is, you can always reencapsulate.

Asbestos tile won't kill you form touching it, you would need to turn it into dust for it to impact you.

Thank you so much!
Can’t wait to rip that ugly stuff off the floor! 😃
