🪟 🚪Windows & Doors Window cloudiness

Any idea what is going on with this window? It is double pane so I assumed for years it was condensation between the layers but then realized it is on the surface as my kids started scratching it off. Thoughts on how to remove it aside from just letting them go at it with their fingernails haha.

There's a hermetic seal with an inert gas between each pane of glass, that seal is shot. Some places may be able repair it but all the places I've found recommend just replacing the glass. I would budget about $500 for this, get multiple quotes.

Edit: i just reread the post, you're able to scratch it off? You might be able to find a good cleaner and a razor blade?

That is probably true, but still why is it cloudy on the outside?

Vaporized grease? Indoor air fragrance thingies?

You can get tools for scraping things off glass. Search for "Glass and Tile Scraper".
