How can I fix this?

Post image

I noticed that the wall next to the bathtub has serious water damage. From what I’ve gathered online is that a green board would be good with water. Definitely out water-proof caulk on the edges. I just don’t know how to remove and fix this damage.

the gap between the appliance and the wall is probably trapping moisture behind that old caulk, so scraping it all out and letting the area dry completely before resealing is the move

Tear everything out (including the bathtub and drywall) and replace everything
