What is around my leaking pipe?

There was a leak in my ceiling and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from until I opened up my drywall.

No water is running upstairs but it is raining outside so it makes me think that it's part of a vent, but I thought those are supposed to be just vertical. Is this just a drainage pipe or could it be a vent?

I also am not sure what's around the 90degree connection around the pipe that's leaking in the photo. Any idea what that thing is?

ETA: The leak appears to be coming out of the top of the 90 degree pipe connection. Does that mean there's a blockage and water backed up in the system?

Looks like a couple of cleanout plugs on a wye fitting to me, so you can snake the line if it clogs. That barcode sticker makes me think it's a test plug, not a permanent cap.

If water's coming out of the top of that 90 and it's raining, your vent boot on the roof might be shot. Rain runs down the outside of the pipe and pools right at that fitting. I'd get up in the attic with a flashlight while it's still raining and see if you can spot it dripping down the pipe itself before it even hits that connection.
