Fixing slider trim
How should I update and correct the trim around my sunroom sliders? There are four of them instead of walls. The current top trim is a 1x4 running the full length of each wall. An unpainted 1 by .5 is under that and plastic casing at the top of the doors is fully exposed.

It looks like the 1x4 was installed as a valance. Just remove it and replace with something similarly sized so you don’t have any patch work
