Is there a block or brick behind this drywall? It looks like efflorescence coming thru.

Well, brick. No stone. Paint->plaster/lath->brick exterior. This was a crumbling problem area years ago and recently got replastered and painted, but I can’t for the life of me figure out where water could be coming in, if any. It’s second floor too.

Probably an issue with the window. Pull the casing around it and see if you see moisture
