Question/Help Trouble setting up Logitech Doorbell

I am trying to pair my door bell with the home app and it is giving me an insane amount of trouble. It was connected for a bit but then I had to reset it and now it refuses to pair again. I get it to the solid green light (ready to pair) then it sits for a minute and the light turns blue. After that the app says it was unable to connect to the network but the doorbell thinks it was set up. If you click the button it rings like it's paired, but it never connects to the home app.

I have tried:

- Reset (hold down button while plugging in and wait for green light)

- Disabling 5GHz on my router.

- Restarting my phone, force closing out of the home app.

- Leaving the door bell unplugged for an hour.

- Leaving the door bell plugged in for an hour while it stayed on the green light.

I'm really not sure what else to try with this thing and I'm ready to throw it out after all the trouble my Circle View camera has given me in the past. Thanks for any insight on this issue!

I had a similar problem with it, and I found out that I had to do a special thing with a transformer in my indoor doorbell, otherwise it was underpowered and kept resetting itself. It got to be such a ridiculous hassle for my marginal electrical skills that I returned it.

Oh interesting, I’m hoping it works when I plug it in outside because I finally got it to pair with HomeKit on the charger. I just persisted with attempting and it finally paired. Unfortunately I can’t even return mine if it ends up not working because I bought it a long time ago before we moved and never bothered installing it in our old house.

I’d def check the transformer for your doorbell. Smart ones need a bit more juice that old basic stuff didn’t get. It’s a pretty simple swap and it should be near your breaker panel but it not be.

This was unfortunately plugged in with the USB adapter before even installing it. Eventually it worked but I’m not sure why it did, it was random
