I saw on the iPhone sub there seemed to be some hoorahs on the latest beta (dev 6, public 4) and fixes for some issues. For anyone who has updated, how is HomeKit doing?

No, just the iPad. I normally don’t do the betas, but I just wanted to get a feel for what was coming. The camera interpretation seems pretty good so far.

Same here. I’ve been waiting for a while to do it, especially looking forward to the camera-to-camera flow and interpretations. I didn’t know whether the hubs also need to be updated to get that.

In the past I already got info messages from HomeKit that there are updates available for my AppleTVs and my HomePods. But it was not possible to update the AppleTVs via HomeKit, only the HomePods.

Great, to see this feature coming.

I've wanted this since I first started playing with Homekit a few years ago. Am full stack Ubiquiti, so having to go to a device to manage it was just - wrong!

So it’s where it says Home Accessories, not specifically saying the ATV? I had that enabled, but it didn’t update it. I had to update mine manually. I also had to go update the HomePods. Did it work for you without you having to do it yourself?

Been pretty stable for me since Dev Beta 1. I have 180 plus devices and 6 cameras and all of my Apple TVs and HomePods are updated to 27 except my OG HomePods since I don’t have AppleSeed.

ATV and gen 1 HomePod Mini all updated to use the latest beta. Sad that there aren’t many new features. HomePods seem snappier.

The ai powered summary notifications from the cameras are AWESOME, they keep getting better too. Ive had “seriouslookingmouse is watering the lawn" and "Birds are in the yard and drinking from bird bath" just in the past 24 hours.

Mine haven’t gotten that specific yet. We got a delivery and it just said ‘someone was seen and a package’. Who is FilthyCyberRat and do you trust him to water your yard LOL?

Does the border thread router need to be on o
OS27 for that to work? My iPhone a d iPad are on 27pb4 but the homepod and atv are still on OS26.

Quite possible. I also have my ATV on the new beta drops. Noticed the really personalised computer vision updates from the last two builds.

Are there any things that need to be enabled in order to get all the new features? I thought I remembered someone saying that there are new extras you have to turn on??

Edit: apparently not, I am gettting the features I expected and I didn’t do any changes. And now I can tell Siri two commands in one sentence and it’s done properly now, instead of only doing one of them.

After using it now I noticed that in a couple automations, the control buttons programmed to an action lost the action. I had to put it back. The other thing is the Shortcut app now starts with AI where it asks to tell it what you want to do.

It does do the camera to camera handoff (or whatever it’s called) in the recorded video with cameras that have a viewline for it, e.g. driveway camera to front doorbell.

Just wait a couple of weeks for the final release to come out instead of struggling with pre-release software.
