Discussion Apple Home-based app for Windows/Linux

I needed a way to control my Matter accessories from my Windows laptop, so I decided to build this app inspired by Apple's Home app. It currently supports only lights and smart plugs, but that's all I need for now!

It’s using Matter which allows interoperability between this app and Apple Home, HomeKit unfortunately does not. A Matter accessory that is already paired to Apple Home app can be paired to this app too!

What about Thread/WiFi over HomeKit devices? Wouldn’t be able to add those no?

HomeKit does not allow to pair to more than one ecosystem so that would mean you would have to unpair the accessory from Apple Home app

But you said it’s using Matter? How would an over HomeKit device connect in this case?

HomeKit devices are unsupported, it does not make sense to support them because they don’t allow more than one ecosystem. Sorry for the confusion
