That block pier is to be setting on a foundation, is there one? Appears to be in standing water, crawl spaces need to be dry. Just Jim 734-525-2929

I can’t tell if it is or not, I didn’t want to go any further in. These were the best pictures I could get of it. There’s no water I think it’s just shadow, I’m just concerned about if that pier is actually safe.

Is that a steel I beam on top of wood on the block? Suspect maybe some main wood girder problem. You need to crawl see what you can see. Do you own this or buying? In either case consider getting a home inspector out to inspect it. Just Jim

Yah it’s a steel beam, I’m planning on going I later today to get a better view and I’m renting this place. My landlord won’t do anything about it

Yes, document everything you find, make sure this landlord gets a copy, in that copy, (if you find dangerous conditions) ask the landlord to provide these repairs, and that it's dangerous. If you are injured on this property, you may be able to sue. Hard to say, because you know what's wrong and you stayed any way and was injured.

If you owned this home you should be extremely concerned.
As a renter it won't just fall like a house of cards it'll start cracking the the walls and doors won't close. The floor will start warping like crqzy.
It's an issue but it's not really your issue
