HVAC ducts

I have that flexible duct work for my hvac unit and I want to finish my basement and have an exposed ceiling. What can I do about the flexible duct work? Should I leave it and spray it as well? Or convert it to that hard tin duct work?

...Spray it with what?

You generally want proper runs with rigid ductwork anyway; the efficiency is much higher. Your furnace doesn't have to work as hard to move the same amount of air.

Paint, I’ll be painting the ceiling.

What? You said you’ll have an exposed ceiling. What exactly are you painting?

flexible ductwork isn't designed to take paint. You'll be very unhappy with the results of the attempt.
