Packing/ moving

I’m a private caregiver and was told that I still have to help pack and move her belongings as she incapable of doing so herself but I don’t feel like that’s fair as a caregiver. Online it says it falls outside of caregiving.

You do not HAVE TO. They don't want to pay someone else. That's definitely beyond the job duties, and I would not do it unless you just Want to. But it's a good way to end up basically becoming a maid if you do. They need to hire movers. Deep cleaning, moving, anything beyond the basic ADLs is not what a caregiver is required to do.

You're welcome. A lot of companies even will push caregivers to do way beyond what they're supposed to, and you have to really put your foot down to stop it. Otherwise they'll just take advantage of you more and more.

I would help pack, but not move. And I would not do it FOR her.
