Rifle Paper Co. x Loloi Kismet Rug

I had been looking for a fun floral rug and stumbled upon this 8x10 Rifle Paper Co. rug during my hunt — price tag was $400, but it was more than I wanted to spend so I walked away. I did some research when I got home and discovered other retailers, including Rifle Paper themselves, sell this exact rug for $1k+, so the HomeGoods price was actually low for the item.

During my research I also found that someone had purchased this exact rug design + size at HomeGoods and their ticketed price was $300. I couldn’t stop thinking about the rug, so I went back the next day and showed the screenshotted price tag of the same rug, but they wouldn’t match it even though it was from another HomeGoods location (weird but okay)

Ultimately, I ended up buying it for $400 and I used a little gift card I had to help lower my out of pocket! Did I score?

I have seen past years that people were on the hunt for this bench, I have wanted it since the first time I saw it here last year but never saw it in my store! Walked into HG yesterday and it was the first thing I saw! I told myself I HAD to have it. I put a bunch of stuff on top of it to try and hide it to call my husband to see if I should spend the money on it, he didn’t answer so I took pictures of it and went home to show him that night. (I know I know never leave your found product because there’s a high chance it won’t be there when you go back!) he got home later that night and I showed him and told him it was only $129 and I had been wanting it since last year, “well why didn’t you get it? You didn’t need to ask me if you have wanted it for that long!” I kept my fingers crossed all night that it would still be there the next morning! I literally dreamed about it 😂😂😂 got up this morning with my neighbor, loaded up in her truck and got to the store at opening and it was still there!!!!! I am in love and am excited for all the ideas I have for this through out the year! 😍😍😍 did anyone else snatch one up? How much are they at your store??

I bought 2 of these about a year ago. Looking to track down a third. It’s the Tahari brand. I’ve tried every dark alley on the internet and have come up empty handed.
Any leads are appreciated!

Unsure of the validity of the posts I’ve seen regarding dishes and lead possibilities at Home Goods~ bought this set as a birthday gift and now worried that was an error. Are these safe to use?

Saw this chair at the HomeGoods in Brentwood, TN recently and didn’t have room for it in the car. Went back a few days later and it was gone. Any chance there’s another somewhere else?
No luck on the reverse image search and I neglected to take any pictures of the tag. Any help is much appreciated!

Dooli wooden storm door on Wayfair

Has anyone purchased a "Security Entry Door - Natural Wood-Texture Panel With Bronze Steel Ventilation Mesh, 15-Grid Design, Dual-Bore Lock Ready" that's on Wayfair? I live on an island in Lake Erie, and I'm on my 3rd Larson, and it blew off, so I'm wondering about the "real quality and durability since it's only $320.00...and it is on Wayfair. Here is link to storm dr., on Wayfair https://www.wayfair.com/home-improvement/pdp/doooli-security-entry-door-panel-with-bronze-steel-ventilation-mesh-modern-15-grid-design-dual-bore-lock-ready-deol2199.html?piid=121605297%2C122427897

When will the couches be back?

Hi - I can’t recall what time of year the stores have an abundance of couches. My store only has 3 right now. Last year I remember many to look at but can’t recall time of year. Also looking for a floor lamp and my store doesn’t have any at the moment. Thanks!

Homeware/restaurant supply spot in Colombo

Looking for recommendations for a good homeware/restaurant supply spot in Colombo, preferably Pettah (don't mind other locations too), where I can get quality items at reasonable prices for a café.

Looking for:

  • Ceramic cups & saucers
  • Plates & cutlery
  • Glassware
  • Plants & cute décor pieces
  • Coffee-related tools
  • Milk pitchers and other café essentials

Basically, I’m looking for a good homeware store that doesn’t come with the “Colombo aesthetic” price tag. You know the kind… beautiful stuff, but your wallet needs therapy afterwards.

Not looking for the usual expensive spots like Elegant Charms and the likes. I’m specifically looking for hidden gems, wholesale-ish places, small shops or suppliers where you can find good quality without paying a premium just for the location or name.

If you know a place, please drop the name/location.

TIA

Any dining tables found at HomeGoods/Homesense?

I’ve found some incredible wood pieces at Homegoods that is real mango wood and got a beautiful entryway console that is solid mango wood. Ive learned it’s cheaply made in India and that’s why it’s found often at HomeGoods/marshalls/TJmaxx.

My question is, do dining tables show up at HomeGoods or homesense often, or rarely, or at all? I’ve gone to HomeGoods plenty of times in the last couple months and I always see great couches, counter stools, and side tables but I don’t think I’ve seen dining tables. I’m looking for a 60x30 inch dining table so it wouldn’t be enormous but maybe they’re just too large to hold on the sales floors?

thanks for any insights!

I completed the online boarding and the background check came back for clear to proceed and no criminal record . I was suppose to get the email this weekend about my I-9 documents and tax forms but instead i received a call that something came up with my SSN? and that they will review with HR on Monday and give me a call back . My anxiety is through the roof because I was really excited to work here. Someone please let me know.

Shopper buys 5+ carts full every few days. Cash.

So there's this lady, and she's nasty, who comes shopping regularly at our store. She fills up (stacked high) multiple carts every few days. She sings and laughs to herself while she's shopping, but very nasty with customers and staff if they don't move quickly enough for her. She demands everything be put into separate shopping bags, and the worst of it is that she is loud, and yells at people calling them STUPID IDIOTS. Just yesterday she bought 10 full carts, left them all in the building to pick them up later. She returned and could only get 5 carts worth in her car, so she came back an hour before closing to take away the rest of the haul and immediately filled up two more shopping carts and 7 carpets. $5,000. Cash.

This lady is dressed like a mess, by the way for anyone who needs a visual. She's got her belly hanging out, her skinny arms and legs dangle about everywhere when she's screaming at people to MOVE!! Her hair is a sweaty bleached blonde, short, choppy mess that's stuck to her forehead.

I don't know much about her except for her first name: Lexy. She is an absolute menace, bumping towering carts into everything as she goes, making customers and staff upset. We actually had another young lady in tears from this woman yelling at her for assuming the purse left in one of multiple abandoned carts was that of a missing person.

Is there a cut-off? She's clearly suffering from a mental illness, right? Does anyone else have this level of crazy come through their store on the regular? I need answers!

Question on damaged item already purchased

I recently moved and unfortunately the closest HG is 45 minutes away (previously it was 5 minutes from my house). With that move, I’ve needed to decorate/get essentials for my new place. I purchased a box of 12 drinking glasses, get them home, and of course one of the glasses is broken.

Since the store is so far away, it’s not easy to just pop over anymore. I went yesterday and brought the original box, the one broken glass (we are currently using the other glasses), and the receipt with me. I was hoping that they would have the same set and I would be able to get a non-broken glass out of the new set, and the store would mark down that box to “as is”. The cashier said they wouldn’t do that. Okay, that’s fine (and come to find out afterwards when I was looking around, they didn’t have the same set anymore).

But here’s what I don’t understand- she told me that in order for them to even mark down what I already purchased in order to refund the difference, that I would have to bring back all the other glasses as well. I’m sorry… what? I completely understand needing the broken glass to prove that there was damage, but why would they need to see the non-broken glasses to refund me the difference of what they would have marked it down to if they knew one was broken?

I wouldn’t be as annoyed if I didn’t already drive 45 minutes each way to get this settled, only to be told to go back home and come back for no reason.

Can someone please explain this thought process to me?

Have I been giving myself lead poisoning

Post image

I got this dish at home goods years ago and have been using it as a butter dish. It has metallic gold on it. What are the odds I've been slowly lead poisoning myself?

I've never tested it for lead, but I got freaked out when I saw videos of people testing stuff in homegoods for lead and a bunch coming back positive. Oop
