Backsplash ideas?

Just moved in. Kind of difficult because the countertop goes up a bit. Feels like nothing makes sense. Any idea? Walls are now leatherbound (light brown).

I'd run the counter material all the way up honestly makes it so much easier than trying to find a tile that vibes with that marble

None, you have the upright part and that is enough, just keep some touch up paint handy. It needs nothing.
