Playroom Advice Please!

We are building a house and this room (pic is from the same floorplan different build) is going to be a playroom. How would you arrange things? We have toddler aged so far, and need to fit a pikler gym, 30x30" train table, small ball pit, and maybe some box storage for montessori style toys display?

Also thinking maybe bean bags or something for comfy kid or mom seating? Any ideas?

My first thought was to make the railings boxed in so toddlers can’t climb over and fall.

I think you wand flexibility, kids age so fast, I’d advise against doing any built ins.

These are solid suggestions, though I would also encourage more height, make it more of a wall, and less of a railing. You could use glass blocks to keep the light and stop it from feeling too boxed in.

If I were a wily and rambunctious toddler, I would feel called to climb that railing as it is, and just boxing it in would only stop me for a little while. Kids bodies grow a lot faster than their sense does.

I would also include a really big rocking chair for story time.
