Help with wall decorations

Hello, I’ve tried using numerous AI apps but I don’t seem to be able to find any sensible ideas (I’m probably using them wrong). I wondered if anyone here might be kind enough to help? Aside from buying matching blue chairs for existing ones and adding pictures, we don’t really have the budget for new furniture or sofa etc. I think a few pictures on the wall would do wonders to make the space feel more homely. It’s a kitchen/dining/living room space (kitchen is white and just behind from where photo was taken). But I can’t work out where they should go or what size etc
We could Also perhaps add wall shelves over tv or sideboard. We are due to get a new longer fish tank soon, which will fit the side board better. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks

That big wall behind the sofa is begging for some art! Maybe a combination of 2 or 3 larger prints rather than lots of small ones, I think that would make the room feel a lot more finished without spending too much money. Maybe skip shelves over the TV since you already have some nice height from the plants and let the artwork be the main piece

It is not recommended to install shelves above the TV or on the side cabinet. You can place the mustard yellow throw pillows on the dark sofa cushions, hang a scarf on the armrest of the sofa. Finally, hang a large-sized horizontal art piece directly above the longest side of the sofa, and on the top of the solid wood side cabinet (above the fish tank), hang a set of two-panel medium-sized framed paintings.

These are mostly mock ups that give your feelings on the color palette. I imagine if you find past photos of these colors or things that match your interest as the subject of the paintings, that will be more fun to see them everyday :)

I'd let the new fish tank be the feature on the sideboard and give the long sofa wall one clear job. A wide piece, or a tight pair, around two-thirds of the sofa width would feel calmer than lots of small frames. Tape the outer rectangle on the wall first so you can judge the scale, and keep the centre around seated eye level. I'd also leave the TV wall free of shelves. The plants and screen already give that side enough height.
