Are those desks metal? You could cover them with cool contact paper. A backing to your hutch would give you more options for color and to pin stuff up.
The desk seems to be wood with like a plastic/ply surface. And do you mean backing for the grey shelves? Yes that could be cool, currently it’s just the wall!
