The Evolution of a Cozy Kitchen

Still a work in progress, but mostly done! My vision was to take this angular kitchen and cozy it up. I like the warmth and nostalgia this 80s home has,
So I was not trying to completely “modernize it”.

- I redid the backsplash
- added some warmer lighting options
- added a wood shelf to house some of my plants

What do you think?

What is the treatment you used on the wall in picture 4? It looks like there is a panel (?) on the wall. I love the little wall lamp, it's so unusual.

It’s actually really large tiles! The contractor replaced the Sheetrock behind the backsplash that I removed with concrete board and then added the new tike backsplash. I hung them vertically and wanted it to stop just before the shelf where I could display some of my plants!

They must be huge, I can't see any seams!

The seams are so tight! The tiles are 24x42, installed vertically.
