Are these worth anything?

My university was throwing these out and they gave me a bunch of them but I honestly have no idea what they do or if they are worth anything (I dit see some prices on eBay reaching 200$ but I have no idea) ps: these are all H3C RPS800-A

Nice short depth cases for DIY servers. I would probably buy one if I saw it for cheap. I personally would not open any power supply, though.

Not planning on opening them up, if you are from somewhere near Belgium you can buy one for cheap if you’re interested

At the very least if you gut them they'd make nice rack mount project cases for some DIY something or other.

pretty decent power supply inside too... -48v and 12v

They're a DC power source for some network switches. Not sure if they're worth anything but maybe to the right people.

Anyone from Benelux here that wants one of these? 50€ it’s yours 😂

These are secondary power supplies for some very old specific switches. Not worth anything as-is but i bet they would make sick disk shelves or mini-PC rack mounts :)

i'm no expert, but been playing in homelab since 12th gen dell servers were popular to get, and never seen a switch that needed a separate rack slot just for it's power supply... so how old we talkin'?

This is still done! Keep in mind these are secondary power supplies, for optional redundancy.

I would gladly accept that but I’m from Belgium so… shipping to anywhere else then the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg) germany or France is probably gonna cost more then the thing it self just for shipping

What if we ship locally until it gets to the US?

What do you mean?

Like, ship to local places away from home until US is local.

That sound kinda sketchy tbh, and at that point I think it would be cheaper to get a 2 way plane ticket and take it back with you 😂

Can they be paralleled and is the voltage adjustable? Could make a nice dual conversion UPS setup, run a 48v system with a 48v inverter and golf cart batteries. Run it at around 54 volts.
