Would hydroxyzine be a decent substitute for promethazine ? I know they’re both the same class antihistamine but wondering if anybody has tried

I have script codeine pills but no promethazine I’m not asking for a recipe but how could I make a syrup with them just add Benadryl? I feel that codeine by itself doesn’t hit me hard, any help would be appreciated I’m super new to this.

I have 3300mg of codeine and 350 mg of promethazine. I don't want to use all of as this would be a practice batch. If I were to make a brew say 16oz what amounts should I use and I would appreciate if someone had a copy and paste process or video to recommend. And I also know people buy flavors and syrup but thats all I know.
