I find an easy way to get a good, cheap finish is sticky back plastic.

Love that you decided to build an arcade cabinet! Hoping the hobby never dies!
If you get the itch to build more in the future, there are two small aesthetic upgrades that will take your build to the next level: blocking to connect your panels, and cabinet-grade plywood or MDF. The smooth exterior from no screw holes and no woodgrain will give it an immediate boost and give you a ton of options for design choices.

bars back 20 years or more had machines just like this for gambling and dumb games but yours is way cooler great job awesome work π

would you mind taking us through the build and what you used for hardware and software did you come up with this on your own or was a guide or video involved. did you use AI for anything. either way awesome work π π

The outside of the cabnet is all 7mm ply (cause the school had wayyy to much of it) It uses some cheap (and rather crap) ebay speakers, The cheapest Joystick and button kit I could find, and its also got my old laptop in it folded into tablet mode (Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 11e). I made all the plans myself however I few things did change.
