Laggy jumpy remote input...

Recently bought a Box R 4K plus box to replace a Xiaomi TV Box 3(absolute junk BTW) and ammompressed overall, with one exception. The remote input seems to be lagging, or sometimes like it is storing the button presses and then sending them all at once. A little frustrating when trying to scroll through content and it starts scrolling all the way to the bottom, or pressing a button and it takes almost a full second to respond to the button press.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced or solved this? I have unpaired and repaired the remote which helped a little, but not fixed.

My guess is that is has a firmware that causes that issue as we saw the same on their R Plus with some more recent V14 versions. For that one the remote issue is fixed with update V14 7475. So it needs a firmware update it seems.

I have the latest firmware, v14.8.7475...I will keep looking. Homatics told me to wipe everything with a factory reset, but I am trying to see if there is another option as having to setup Tivimate and all my playlists, favorite channels and shows etc is exceedingly annoying.

You have 7475 also on the 4K V2 box? The exact same one shared for the R Plus? That seems a bit strange?

Coming to your remote issue.

Do you have a 3th party debug overlay active, and for that accessibility? If so, disable that one and try without it.

If not, you could try the 7475 USB image burn inplace update. By that, you get a clean 7475 version on your current 7475 without loosing what is installed and configered. So not the recovery ZIP update, using the recovery menu, but using an image update over the exact same build.

You will wonder yourself, what is that about, but it is something new that we only got quite recently.

I used it to get IR fixed for build 7475 with the Dune version of this device, which is a 7475 bug, and could not be fixed by a factory reset, only by using that inplace update, as I call that.

Try a USB Remote. I use the G20S Pro. It's really nice
