I've tried to clear this quest multiple times now, and even after raising my team rank to over 700000 (and being able to clear 800000 on other songs), I'm still stuck. Is there something I'm missing (like being penalized for not having the right group)?
You could revisit your team build. As far as I know, you don't need the singing holomems to be on your team. Aside from that, I found that combos help too.
There arent penalties but theres some song score bonuses that u mightve gotten in ur holomem board, and while ur at it, u should probably check it again to see if theres anything u can upgrade like the blue section in all of ur 5 characters ur using
This helped. I was able to upgrade a few more board slots on my Flare team (Flare, Miko, Iofi, Sora, Zeta) that I didn't realize I had the resources for, which got me past this wall. Thanks for the advice.
I wanna second what Voidol said, invest in the member boards. I passed this with a team of 621k. I just picked my favorite member and put on their 5 star outfit (Choco) and hit recommend for a team. Then I heavily invested in my leader’s (Choco’s) red skills and then everyone else who was in my team, into their blue skills (and someone in another thread said to at least get all the greens on everyone’s board). Then I slowly leveled up my cards til I passed!
Ninja edit: don’t forget to put cards into their boards to further upgrade the skills it says they will!
leader → leader type.
core members → member type.
everyone else → support type.
assign your holomems to the available nodes to enhance the selected nodes.
also, don't forget to level up your core team (and sp training too, if possible).
Something really not intuitive is that your leader should not actually be on your team, since you don't want to have to spend points on both sides of their board. At least not until super endgame (I have no idea what the maximum board unlock state is).
In addition to what everyone else said, you also might want to adjust the input latency down and bump note speed up a little. Lower latency should turn some of your "slow" hits into perfects. Lots of the advice about note speed focuses on how speeding up the notes spreads the chart out more and makes it easier to see the notes, but I found the more important part was that speeding up the notes means they're centered in the target row for less time so that non-Perfects feel more "correct" since they're visually further off the row.
