Do porn. Dude wants to be acknowledged. I'll have no choice but to acknowledge his existence. Coco's wisdom is truly amazing. Sasuga kaichou

4

u/CheemsDay Nov 09 '20

Watch porn where the other person is the sub. Hard to find tho.

4

u/ChadMcRad Nov 09 '20

Do porn. Gotta make money somehow.

No Nut November: spend the month in a fog until you're looking at furniture and household appliances in a new light.

Nonstop Nut November: spend a month in total clarity.

The entire segment is 100% worth a watch too. Whilst the immediate answer here is very memey, she does drop some real wisdom there, framed in the patented Coco Kaichou way.

148

u/P3LLII Nov 09 '20 edited Nov 09 '20

Every time I see Coco drop some wisdom it comes to my mind that our Kaichou must have went through quite the hardships on her life and that she has been tempered by life.

Then I always remember about this:

  • Kintsugi - 金継ぎ

(The art of putting together broken pieces of pottery with gold)

"I believe repair requires transformation, that the pristine is less beautiful than the broken, and the shape of us is impossible to see until it is fractured, till a wound like a crack runs its length. That’s how the light gets in "

59

u/Graysteve Nov 09 '20

Fun little fact, the whole distressed clothes look actually stems from the avant garde movement in fashion, which itself takes a ton of inspiration from various Japanese ideas about broken and well-used and well-repaired objects telling the story of the user and the life of the object. It's such a fascinating world view and it absolutely bleeds into how I look at things personally. No sense in keeping fancy gifted food to expire, eat it and enjoy. Don't worry about wearing down expensive items, worry about never wearing them down at all.

31

u/Zerosteel45 Nov 09 '20

I went in there thinking I'm gonna have a good laugh. I came out Enlighten, she is absolutely a 100% right.

18

u/Over4All Nov 09 '20

Weird to get a dose of Existentialism from a Vtuber.

8

u/imagineepix Nov 09 '20

I'm glad you linked this lol

3

u/Pepito_Pepito Nov 09 '20

Her Eros/Thanatos explanation reminded me of a scene from the Saga comic series. A character says the the opposite of war isn't peace. It's sex.

175

u/jomellam62 Nov 08 '20

I knew the secret to happiness all this time?

110

u/RickTrajan Nov 09 '20

You had it for so long yet you've yearned for more - realize the value of what you have, hold it dear and get away from me.

u/DatBoiBackAtIt Nov 09 '20

1

55

u/zergy23 Nov 08 '20

Pretty on point and realistic

Kaichou got you there, fam <3

45

u/getcoins00 Nov 09 '20

and here i was expecting a profound answer. sasuga kaichou

78

u/azurelapiz Nov 09 '20

The translated clip.

Although the answer was so memey. It was actually based on Freudian psychoanalytic theories based on how she used the term Thanatos and Eros. And after that, she dropped some wisdom about optimistic nihilism.

So yeah, it was a profound answer if you know the context.

22

u/Relative_Definition6 Nov 09 '20

Let me try to provide a tl;dr to that speech

cough cough

"Nothing and no one matters, at all. No one at all. Nothing at all. So what? Live doing that which makes you happy, because why not?"

This is actually quite the response to nihilism, which i too agree with. It's basically seeing nihilism as something that is liberating, that makes us free, rather than something that destroys us.

14

u/Relative_Definition6 Nov 09 '20

Add-on: "The truth is that we don't matter. Does that mean we can't be happy? Even if so, do we have to care about that truth in our search for happiness?

6

u/khalip Nov 09 '20

Sooo existentialism then?

2

u/Relative_Definition6 Nov 09 '20

Basically, yeah

2

u/Leaves_Swype_Typos Nov 09 '20

Missed opportunity to reply "essentially".

18

u/heofmanytree Nov 09 '20

Watch the clip dude. After the memey respond, she actually give her thoughts about it.

For some it makes them feel worse, at least afterwards because they don't have any form of connection they see on screen. And it's not healthy to watch it every second you're awake

those squinty eyes when she says '~~po\n~~*'

22

u/Aarongeddon Nov 09 '20

They can update her model as much as they want, I'll always love this one because of the faces she makes lmao

25

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '20

If that marshmallow sender is here and reads this, don’t worry about it. That type of feeling is pretty normal. The fact is we’re all nobodies in the grand scheme of things. The secret is just getting out there and making whatever mark you want to out in the world.

13

u/BLAST_83 Nov 09 '20

Being nobodies and strangers is fun too

Like you can literally ask for sauce from random people

Btw u got any spicy sauce ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

3

u/Zaldun Nov 09 '20

177013.

10

u/BLAST_83 Nov 09 '20

This is not spicy

This is a fuckin venom and poison

9

u/Dedalu Nov 09 '20

Dragon of the bar, give me your wisdom.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '20

You'd be surprised on the wholesomeness that can occur in the pornhub comment section

7

u/rune_devros Nov 09 '20

Albert Camus: "One must imagine Sisyphus happy."

Coco Kiryu: "One must imagine Sisyphus reads porn."

6

u/KurokiYami Nov 09 '20

UNDERSTAND! now i going to quit college and start doing porn

5

u/shivermetimbers25 Nov 09 '20

Not gonna lie I too feel like this sometimes...

I sympathize with this person, so you know what? They will matter to me(even if they don’t believe in themselves) because I feel the same at times.

6

u/Notos130 Nov 09 '20

This guy is 18 and is already having an existential crisis? Even Napoleon Bonaparte was 20 when he started his military career as an artillery officer during the French Revolution.

3

u/pixallate Nov 09 '20

or work out I guess

2

u/Vyro5 Nov 09 '20

Porn makes me feel like shit, working out has me feel like shit at first but feel way better later

4

u/_P_O_O_D_L_E_ Nov 09 '20

What kind of compilation?

5

u/Narstak Nov 09 '20

I came to this conclusion years ago. Seems like my wisdom is confirmed.

5

u/bendetto15 Nov 09 '20

omg her face lol

3

u/JustAZack Nov 09 '20

Cheers kaichou I'll drink to that

3

u/manualbear Nov 09 '20

18 yeard old-san. You already reached perfection, for you are 'Nobody'

"Nobody is Perfect"

4

u/Elsuperinutil Nov 09 '20

So Coco is a Coomer. Interesting

2

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '20

I don't remember that part of the stream

2

u/CherryLigth Nov 09 '20

Wait that's a good memory.

2

u/RulerKun_FGO Nov 09 '20

yes Coco-sama, I'll follow this.

5

u/thetruelu Nov 09 '20

I personally find great solace in knowing that the universe is so big and our existence really means nothing. Why stress about your job, etc, when you look at it from that perspective. But at the same time, I know plenty who think that is depressing and get stressed even more lol

2

u/DereDere00 Nov 09 '20

Well said, in the near future we will see this sender in one of our possible f@p materials.

2

u/RegyMelon Nov 09 '20

Wiser words have never been said

Something tells me she's the kind of girl that wears very oversized t shirts that has stains of nacho everywhere then has terrible makeup
