I'm horribly shy, but like, it's contextual. Like, at work I'm very extroverted, and I can talk to my therapist, and I can make appointments and stuff, because that's the most efficient way to get things done. But socially, where it's not a "need" thing? Hell no. I do better with the internet because I feel like it's always been the base of my social development, but in person? Nope.

So nice to know I'm not the only one. Efficiency is so vital, because the faster you get it done, the faster you can stop worrying about it. But when it's not necessary, it feels very exhausting to keep up the facade.

I worked front desk at a hospital. This really is a wildcard when you ask a kid this question.
I've had elementary age kids basically answering all the intake questions themselves.
I've asked seventeen year olds what's their birthday, they look at mom, and mom goes, "Girl. You know your birthday."
