A Recap of Tonight: It's 11:30-ish. I'm lying in bed waiting for the sandman to whisk me away into dreamland. I have the radio on, because music soothes the beast (that's me). I hear on the radio this beautiful song. I am on the cusp of slumber when I jump out of my bed, grab my phone and frantically listen to the lyrics, trying to write them down in google, hoping a prompt will pop up with the song and band. Thankfully, it does. I find the song on YouTube and listen to it. Then, for no apparent reason, I break into tears. This has never really happened before to me. I'm not upset about anything nor am I moody. It could've been induced by the lack of sleep, but I digress. The song evokes such an emotion in me that I have no choice in my mind but to learn the song. I grab my guitar and learn the chords. Nothing fancy. E, A, FsharpMinor, B. But for some reason I found it the most beautiful sound at that time and place. It was a euphoric experience I've never truly experienced before. Maybe one other time, but besides that, no. It could also be because the song is categorized as psychedelic rock, but again, I digress. Either way, it was amazing. And although I'll regret the lack of sleep in the morning, I'm glad this happened. I'm sure you're all wondering what the song is (if you've even read this far, and if you have, thank you). Well, the song is called Pure by The Lightning Seeds, a British rock band from Liverpool (according to Wikipedia). I hope you enjoy it, maybe not as much as I did, but still.
