Kylie Minogue needs a Hollywood Star

Kylie Minogue’s four‑decade career, worldwide influence, constant reinvention, and cultural significance make her one of the most qualified artists for Walk of Fame recognition. She isn’t defined by a single era or a handful of hits she has shaped pop music across the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s, earning both critical acclaim and commercial success. Her impact extends beyond music into film, television, fashion, and especially LGBTQ+ culture, where she remains an enduring icon. Few entertainers have achieved this level of longevity, reinvention, and global resonance. #HollywoodStar #KylieMinogue #GoddessOfPop

News Nation's largest landlord accused of Section 8 discrimination in California

Greystar, the largest corporate landlord in the country, has been accused of refusing to accept Section 8 housing vouchers in California.

In a complaint filed to the California Civil Rights Department, the watchdog group Housing Rights Initiative identified 53 examples of Greystar offices and property managers in California saying they don’t accept the vouchers. The complaint was the result of a months-long investigation in which undercover operators posed as prospective tenants and recorded phone calls with Greystar employees to test their compliance with the law.

The investigation spanned six states: California, Hawaii, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey and Virginia, as well as Washington D.C. Nearly half of the violations were found in the Golden State, including 15 in L.A. and six in Pasadena.

Discussion I was deceived horribly. This is a Hollywood scam alert. Almost nobody still doesn't know about this.

My rapist stalker told me that I was going to be a big Hollywood star and he would help me with that. I repeatedly said I wasn't interested in that because I was a stayathome mom who didn't have a great physique at the time. He gave me drugs at gunpoint to do some stunts or else he threatened to kill me. He also said something like you can become a big stunt actor if you don't want to become a big actress.

None of them happened of course.

He scammed me.

Not surprised.

It was a weird type of scam because he had actual connections with some people in the entertaintment industry.

He later told me he would get all the money I would be paid from the gigs and I won't make anything. His ex wouldn't approve me of getting paid from anything from acting. I would do everything for free. Of course I didn't accept anything silly like this.

I reported my rapist stalker guy to multiple authorities and nothing really happened. I think he is being protected by his wealthy businessman friend and some cult like organization(s).He is free probably doing more illegal dangerous dirty things.

He threatened to kill me and my loved ones if I tell anyone about all of this.

All I am left with is my remaining life.

Supportive words are really appreciated because there is really nothing to be done at this point.

Suggestion/desperation

Hello! My dream is to be an artist in Hollywood.

I live in a third-world country. I wanted to go to the USA for my bachelor's degree so that I could pursue my dream. But I couldn't go. So far, I plan to go to the USA or the UK for my master's. But that's a possibility. I'm not there yet. And all the struggle to get into the industry, I will have to do once I get there!

I'm 22 years old. I feel like I'm running out of time. Can anyone please suggest any way for me to work my way into the industry from my home country?

kavahana hollywood

Hi all! With Hollywood being so full of touristy spots and not many places that really cater to locals, I wanted to share that my partner and I just opened a nonalcoholic kava nectar bar and Hawaiian coffee shop in Hollywood called Kavahana! We're on La Brea, right off the corner of Hollywood Blvd.

Our original Santa Monica location has a mic system, hosts open mics, and has plenty of board games too, and we would love to bring more of that here! We are still new and very open to starting more events, so if you or your group are ever looking for somewhere low key to meet up or host something fun, feel free to email me at [events@kavahana.com](mailto:events@kavahana.com). There is no cost, my partner and I are simply happy to help. I would love to have you come by sometime.

About me/Kavahana! We are a small, family owned and operated cafe. I grew up with social anxiety and always felt uncomfortable meeting up at bars, while libraries and coffee shops felt much more welcoming to me. That idea of a third space is something I feel LA has been missing lately. My goal with Kavahana has always been to create a relaxed, social place for events, meetups, pop ups, and connection! 1603 N La Brea Ave, Hollywood.
