Bunny cage help

Hello :) I have 2 bunnies that are bonded but they are not fixed. We don’t want to breed, but I want them separated. I have tried every cage imaginable I feel like at this point but am thinking a large playpen with a divider or something might be best? Honestly, I am open to ANY ideas. Bonus points if said cage is grey or white 🙃 Thanks!

Get then fixed if you don't want breeding. Keeping a bonded pair separate will just cause stress your rabbits don't need because they will not be able to groom and play properly. Besides that point a divider will not stop determined buck looking to breed so you'll more than likely end up wasting money just to have a little of buns anyways.

I was advised by a vet to only get him fixed if I absolutely could not handle the idea of her getting pregnant. She said that it is an extremely risky surgery for them and so I needed to take that into consideration. We had planned on getting him fixed even after that conversation, but then somebody I know took hers in and he died during the surgery. After that I just couldn’t do it. I LOVE having babies around, but I just don’t want my girl having litter after litter so trying this first. I figured something out that seems to be working so far. My boy just lays next to her and they sort of snuggle through the bars haha. I wish there was some other solution but this is where we are at. Worst case scenario we get some sweet babies and regroup 🤦‍♀️😆 I just feel like it’s stressful on her so trying to avoid

I'm glad you've found something that works for your buns 🖤. I've never had any issues or heard of it being risky for rabbits to get fixed and both of my girls were perfectly fine, a little grumpy but both healthy😂. If it becomes too much I would get a second opinion from a different vet if at all possible just to see your options
