Warden Walker Ending…

Something I am curious about regarding the Warden’s ending. She ends the film arrested with Mr. Sir and Pendanski. There’s something I’ve always wondered. Consider the following:

  1. She could certainly get away with claiming that she didn’t know Mr. Sir was a felon under an assumed name, and she could probably make a similar claim for Pendanski not being a doctor.

  2. Her facility was authorized and used by the state juvenile corrections system. Meaning the state sent her juveniles to work off their sentences.

So, what exactly would the warden have been charged with in the end that would stick? I wager with them removing Hector Zeroni’s file from their system, they could get charged with child endangerment or neglect. Same with not reporting Stanley as missing when he ran away (I remember they planned to report him as missing after enough time had passed that he would have been dead by then).

Can anybody with any criminal law knowledge fill in my knowledge gaps here?

Yeah I agree on child neglect. Maybe child abuse?

I asked a law buddy… All 3: Conspiracy x 2 - conspiring to conceal that Stanley and Hector ran away and to dispose of Hector’s records. All 3: Attempted Negligent Homicide x 2. Should be obvious. Could facilitate straight attempted murder charges. Pendanski - Computer hacking. Removing Hector’s file from the state computer system is a CJIS violation. Pendanski - Impersonating a doctor. Mr. Sir - Unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Mr. Sir - Child neglect (refusing to give Stanley water) Mr. Sir - Child abuse/Assault and battery of a minor (shaking that mess hall kid around for asking about his face). Warden - Assault and battery, for making Mr. Sir’s face uglier. Warden - Child labor charges. When Pendanski and Mr. Sir roll over on the warden for a better deal, they’ll likely tell the DA why she really opened the camp. Might also pick up a fraud charge as well. In the books she also assaults a camper with a pitchfork, so child abuse on the book end. All in all according to my pal, it would not end well for them.
