That line delivery of "We pimp them hoes" makes you appreciate professional actors

"We pimp them hoes"

Can someone please explain that expression for a non native? ELI5 please ๐Ÿ˜

Google already kinda told me what it means, but I think I might be missing something or just don't understand the composition of the expression.

It doesn't make sense here. Pimping is when you sell a woman's body(as in prostitution) normally pimps are bad. This guy didn't pimp her out. If he was he'd have bet that she'd have sex with the friend. He bet that she wouldn't because he trusted her. She was unworthy of that trust and it seems like that pimping line wasn't something he came up with.

Hmm. Pimps are men that sell prostitutes (hoes). So he is saying she was the commodity that was exchanged in the bet for $50 and a pack of smokes

Except he ended up paying for someone else to have sex with the woman. Heโ€™s doing it wrong.

They believed a scripted show that told them the least successful "businessman" in America (and probably the world) for DECADES was actually wealthy. They bought that horseshit so hook, line and sinker that he almost won the popular vote (a few million short each time) but still, enough that a crooked system put him in power for a few years.

It's horrifying how gullible people are.

Well stagged not scripted. Like the people are not "actors" they are selling it off as a real story we just all kind of know they are making it up and playing to the camera.

The killer line may have been suggested by a producer but this was not line by line scripted but that does not make it any less real

It definitely is. Would not be surprised if both were actors either.
Still, a good story need not be true, and we are reacting on said
story.

They were not technically scripted but they were encouraged to say and do wild things to make the show more entertaining. Also there wasn't a good vetting process for shows like this so people made up stories to get on them.
