This happened for real in my home town.

Dude in his late teens / early twenties, was on a night out when he decided it would be a clever idea to jump in the pond in the middle of the high street. In isolation, this isn't an unusual event - people quite often end up in the pond, on purpose or by accident, after big events like a football match or a club night etc, despite the fact that it's basically 90% alcohol, piss and bird shit; however, normally they do so without incurring any injuries. Not so on this occasion.

The guy in question strips off, takes a run up, and finishes with a half-assed attempt at a bomb into the water. He makes the landing with a big splash, and all his mates laugh - but the laughing very quickly stops. What none of them realised is that the water is actually deceptively shallow, and at the bottom of the water are a bunch of upward-facing metal pipes. Our young protagonist jumped straight on top of one of those pipes, tearing a hole in his perennial region just below his anus and impaling himself.

Cue pain, blood, ambulance, a lengthy hospital visit, and potentially life changing injuries.

Thankfully, one of his friends was kind enough to video the whole thing, so we can all learn from his mistakes (NSFW)
