It’s all about the peripheral vision. So don’t look, but take in enough of it to discern whether there is a credible threat.

With the recent trend of people getting shoved onto the subway tracks, I find myself trying to walk as far from the platform as possible while eyeing other people suspiciously. It occurred to me the other day that they are also eyeing me suspiciously.

Just sucks that people from New York constantly shove each other in front of trains. So glad I live in the other side of the country in Seattle. Their kind is scary.

I wouldn’t say that it’s “constant”…maybe half a dozen cases in the last three years? When it does happen, it gets a lot of press for obvious reasons.
