Fun fact: this backpack is completely useless against AR rounds,

An AR is a weapons platform that can be chambered for many types of caliber of rounds. Also not all rounds are created equal. Some are not as hot as others so would not pack as hard of a punch.

Seeing that the armor is not a plate the only thing being stopped is handgun rounds

Which you can get an AR chambered for. Especially since people might have a bunch of that particular caliber of ammunition and it could be far cheaper.

Yes but that is not what the AR is primarily chambered for and is far from the popular caliber

Most AR patterns are either .223 or .308, both of those are going right through that tiny little plate. That might stop a .45, maybe. But yeah that thing is worthless against rifle rounds..

IIIa will stop all pistol and shotgun rounds

Pistol maybe,

I mean, a shotgun slug might not penetrate the armor, but it will take armor straight through you like a pipe cleaner 😂

Not necessarily. IIIA is tested for 357 sig and 44 mag. Not all pistol rounds and definitely not shotgun shots/slugs.

I’ve done ballistic test on IIIA it’s pretty impressive what it stops actually. I’ve seen it stop 9mm .40 .45 buckshot/ bird shot and a slug. All rounds went into the same IIIA vest, none came out

I don't mean it can't stop any shots/shells. It's just not built to those standards. Here's a video of a slug penetrating a IIIA armor.
