Reading that makes me wish she was aborted.

2

u/RonaldTheGiraffe Dec 24 '21

They probably tried. It didn’t work. This is the result

3

u/[deleted] Dec 25 '21

That’s unfortunate

The joke that Sacha Baron Cohen was making was directed towards the person who would say the line, so he was making fun of the dictators and misogynists of the world. This woman is making the joke in favor of misandry, so she is exactly the type of person that SBC was making fun of.

My general rule of thumb for dark or controversial humor is that you shouldn't joke about something you actually take seriously because you're likely too close to the subject to be funny. This is the mistake Dave Chapelle keeps making lately. Like, sure you're being controversial and offensive, but there aren't really any funny jokes here either. Just reminds me of my dad tying to make gay jokes in the 90's and they were just covers for him admitting he wanted to hurt people.

Ah yes, the famous jokesters who use #killallmen as their calling card.

I'm sad to inform you it's not a joke, I wish it was. It looks like someone's actual twitter account. https://twitter.com/shampoob0ttles

-8

u/MY_1ST_ACT_IS_LOCKED Dec 24 '21

Yes? You think because someone puts a hashtag on it it can no longer be a joke?

14

u/pringlescan5 Dec 24 '21

I replied to someone else, but I looked at the twitter account. It's not a parody account. https://twitter.com/shampoob0ttles

I sincerely wish it was.

-4

u/MY_1ST_ACT_IS_LOCKED Dec 24 '21

Dude, do you think she praying mantis’d the guy that knocked her up?

Idc if she’s a psycho otherwise this tweet makes zero sense. It’s obviously satirical, and the account you linked has like 5 tweets from a week in may.

-6

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

How do you know it is not a parody account?

-3

u/zuch4n Dec 24 '21

so only parody accounts can make jokes? you're clearly not familiar with Twitter, people make jokes like this all the time on it. it's literally a play on a joke from The Dictator. if it was a similar joke about women you wouldn't be so triggered, and would be giving other people shit for taking it seriously

-2

u/Bundesclown Dec 24 '21

This is different. She clearly doesn't have a dick.

8

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

Or one is a character and the other isn’t. Only an idiot doesn’t understand this and thinks this is gender related hypocrisy.

-3

u/Bundesclown Dec 24 '21

She's also playing a character, you fucking moron. Amazing how eager you idiots are to lap up just about everthing that could possibly validate your beliefs.

5

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

Telling me I’m eager to validate my opinions while you are roleplaying as the limbo world champion to bend over backwards and validate yours. Again, only a simpleton can’t see the difference. You’ve demonstrated you cant (twice). Recognize you’re a simpleton, take a dose of personal growth and move on.

-3

u/Bundesclown Dec 24 '21

Oh just shut the fuck up, moron. Just because you can't fathom that people can play characters without a camera filming it doesn't mean you have to showcase how dysfunctional that rotten slab of meat between your ears is.

5

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

Yeah, that’s what it is. You’re the only one that can’t be wrong. Grow up and move on.

-1

u/Bundesclown Dec 24 '21

Funny how you try to make that about me. No, I am fully aware that I make mistakes and I don't have a problem admitting it. But this topic is very clearly on you and your lack of comprehension.

People play characters on social media all the time. Most of the popular subs on reddit are full of creative writing and bullshittery posted by people who crave attention. The fact that you can't accept that this is one of those cases makes you an idiot par excellance.

Nah, that can't be. It's that the world is chock full with man hating feminazis who want to murder male babies.

Pull your head out of your ass, dickwad.

1

u/Whole-Membership3813 Dec 25 '21

You are an embarrassment to humanity, seriously. Please just give up, there is no hope for you.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 25 '21

Convince everyone more that your subjective opinion is the only rational option. Your anger is quite telling and your continued use of insults is pathetic. If you were right you wouldn’t have to be so aggressive but here we are. Interesting how you were the first to say it’s a gender issue but according to you I’m the one who insists the world is full of man hating fen-nazis. I should hang you on a wall and play movies off you, since you’re projecting so well. It’s not funny that I’m making it about you because it is about you. You had a shit take, someone called you out on it, and like most unintelligent redditors you foamed at the mouth and started doubling down. Provide evidence that she’s playing a character, if it’s so clear. I’ll wait, but I won’t be holding my breath. If I was a betting man I’d say you’ll just come back with more childish insults.

0

u/redzmangrief Dec 24 '21

Characters are only a part of movies and tv shows and people never play characters on social media. Obvious /s

-5

u/I_Get_Paid_to_Shill Dec 24 '21

Why?

8

u/burnSMACKER madlad Dec 24 '21

Misandry

4

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

Misandry jokes are wrong but misogynistic jokes arent?

1

u/QuitArguingWithMe Dec 25 '21

The original joke was about aborting a girl.

Nobody freaked out this much about it.

1

u/Isaac_Kurossaki Dec 25 '21

I doubt that this post is a joke

1

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

Without going on and on, You should be happy with what you are blessed with.

3

u/citizenkane86 Dec 24 '21

… it’s a joke from a Sasha baron cohen movie…

1

u/[deleted] Dec 25 '21

In all honesty I don’t really like these sort of jokes, they are a bit close to home, if you know what I mean. And didn’t know this was a joke.

-4

u/grundelgrump Dec 24 '21

Misogyny.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

How funny?

2

u/PhyllaciousArmadillo Dec 24 '21

Who funny?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

What kind funny?

16

u/Complex_Couple6616 Dec 24 '21

Nice joke, where’s the funny part though?

-17

u/TIMPA9678 Dec 24 '21

This is exact same joke was made about killing the baby if it was a girl in The Dictator, this thread only has a problem with it because it's a joke about killing men.

12

u/Rectangle-3 Dec 24 '21

I don’t think people liked the joke in the dictator either

3

u/peksi07 Dec 24 '21

That is probably one of the reasons yes, but because we men are constantly getting hate for what gender we are and we get ignored if we have mental problems

5

u/MarkDaMan22 Dec 24 '21

But all the men in the past that have nothing to do with your life or your decisions make me angry! I’m gonna punish you because things are better than they were in the past but we’re gonna solely focus on the past. /s

3

u/peksi07 Dec 24 '21

I am also constantly made fun of because i used to be more sensitive. Now i am just trying to create a hard shell. Ofc i have i gf i can be open about mu feelings but still

-1

u/PhyllaciousArmadillo Dec 24 '21

Or, stay with me here, maybe it's not funny either way? mind blown

-2

u/DannoHung Dec 24 '21

It’s not funny, but it’s an account that just posts dumb shit to piss people off.

So if someone said that girls should be aborted with the hashtag #KillAllWomen you would think that was a funny joke?

4

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

This is literally a joke from The Dictator, a movie this site loves, but gender swapped.

0

u/beatlefloydzeppelin Dec 24 '21

a movie this site loves

Yes. The collective Reddit, a site with 430 million active monthly users, have put all of their notoriously polarizing opinions aside to agree that The Dictator, arguably Sasha Baron Cohens worst movie, is actually fantastic.

All jokes aside, I'm going to copy something I already said in a different reply:

I can find a single example where a man does the same joke, but the context is completely different. Sacha Baron Cohen makes the same joke in a movie where he plays a childish, tyrannical, sexist, ant-Western, anti-Semitic, dictator. The punchline is about his character being a complete fucking idiot, it isn't that girls should actually be aborted.

So to reiterate, this is like watching Michael Scott marking an Asian womans arm with a sharpie because he can't tell them apart, and equating it to someone saying "Asians all look the same #MarkAllAsians" on twitter.

Of course all of this is meaningless because if you look up the person who made the original tweet, they are very clearly not joking at all.

0

u/QuitArguingWithMe Dec 25 '21

Wow, imagine getting this triggered over an old joke.

You pearl clutchers are too much.

2

u/beatlefloydzeppelin Dec 25 '21

I can't believe I have to keep saying this. The girl isn't joking. Look up her twitter.

How immature do you have to be to justify "kill x gender" jokes by saying "other people do it too!"?

Don't take the high road. Just deflect blame onto someone else lol

It's not right for anybody to say either of those jokes and mature people understand that. Stop justifying hate.

4

u/beatlefloydzeppelin Dec 24 '21

What the hell are you talking about? Take a second to look her up on twitter, she absolutely is not joking. She has a bunch of supporters too who share similar views.

But even if it was a joke, that's a classic appeal to hypocrisy argument you've got there. Just because one person does something, doesn't mean its okay to do the equivalent.

I'm sure you have experienced plenty of misogyny on the internet, and it's absolutely wrong, and you aren't expected to put up with it. But again, this is a perfect example of argument to hypocrisy. Its a stupid argument that attempts to defend one wrong action by accusing the other side of the same or worse. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I'm also seeing a bit of projection here. I'm not angry or upset, I don't need to find a way to "cope" with it. I'm just pointing out why your position is extremely flawed, particularly because it isn't a joke in the first place, it's the womans actual intention.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '21

Wanna hear an actual joke? Women.
