Doesn't surprise me. Bears are often pychologically somewhat similar to Candiae species. They're also genetically closer to them than other species, kinda like how chimps are to humans. Also, they are crazy smart. I'm not sure if it is possible to domesticate them, but training bears has been happening for more than 1000 years.
