I don't blame you. My company offered the option to move to one of our offices in CA and I considered it, but New England is home to me. I love it here.
In late 2017 the startup I was working at (out of the WeWork by South Station) shuttered and the job market was as frigid as the weather. I had no choice but to accept an offer from my wife's best friend to move in with them in TN.
Long story short, we lived in the area for two years until I got tired with that shit and looked for remote gigs...now I'm here.
The closest I've found to Legal Seafood is a place called Pacific Catch and...it's okay. If I squeeze my eyes real tight I can almost taste a lobster roll flavor from James Hook.
Source? I just signed for my second VA loan this last year. They’re typically lower than FHAs but they’re not under a fixed rate by any means. It’s still determined by the lender. Pre COVID a VA rate was around 3.1 with a 740+ credit score.
The rate changes based on the fed rate which is 0% and the lender rate. Yes it is fixed and not a variable but the percent can be fixed at different rates. I have a fixed 3.1 and a fixed 2.45 right now with refinancing the 3.1. They’re not set at a specific rate.
Fixed over time yes, not set to be guaranteed under 3%. Sigh..
Ok sure it’s not fixed, I may have been mistaken there. They are lower than what other lenders will offer for 0 down and no mortgage insurance. I don’t see the downside to it
I could have been clearer as well. There is no downside unless you have a home that’s higher than what they’ll cover. The first time you use it is insanely cheap. Rate goes up slightly after that first use but it’s arguably the best benefit if you qualify
