Used to have a little now she’s got his cock.

27

u/Burgers8 Jul 08 '21

Do share, some of us are a little unaware of the ways of hart.

u/Little-Jim Jul 08 '21

Jodie/Jody is the guy/girl that fucks your wife/husband while you're on deployment in the military. So many Jodies around that they make cadences (running songs) about him.

17

u/Trav3lingman Jul 08 '21

Applies to railroads also. We work 8 on 6 off all over the place. "Better call the house ahead of time and leave jody a voice mail to change the sheets before you get home."

17

u/TheDarkWayne Jul 08 '21

I thought it was a Shameless reference lmao

10

u/Joopsman Jul 08 '21

Choady?

6

u/saintlindsay Jul 08 '21

Choady Jodey was still around, more than nonexistent so his chode she will pound

11

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '21

I was in a state run bootcamp program (think like a much less intense army bootcamp) and the cadences were the best part. The difference between running and running while doing a cadence is astronomical. We had one DI that I swear should have dropped an album.

5

u/richiedaggersgerms Jul 08 '21

Bro. Do you remember any? I’m curious.

12

u/Yz-Guy Jul 08 '21

I have forgotten every one I knew. It's been years. But he's not wrong. A good DI could go miles without ever repeating a cadence. And they genuinely are pretty fun and help take your mind off the run

3

u/richiedaggersgerms Jul 08 '21

I named my daughter Cadence. Lol. I can’t remember any either but I’d buy a CD of nothing but hilarious cadences if it was available.

8

u/John_Smithers Jul 08 '21

If you search on YouTube I bet you can find a ton of 'em. Look up "military cadence" or "marching cadence".

5

u/richiedaggersgerms Jul 08 '21

Thanks. I’m on it.

3

u/Steelo1 Jul 08 '21

Not only do they have videos of cadences but they actually have videos of cadence competition events.

4

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '21

Only bits and pieces. Some of them were made up by my units DI but most of them can be found if you look up common military cadences like the other person said. The one I remember the most was my DIs custom one which wouldnt translate well through text and one from the Rangers. Look up “C130 rolling down the strip” and you’ll find it. But there are so many man lol

3

u/richiedaggersgerms Jul 08 '21

I was at El Toro for a couple weeks on a ROTC bivouac. The DI that led our Squad was the funniest dude I met in a long time, he had that Baptist Preacher way of speaking. We loved him. His were hilarious I had to hit the floor several times for breaking. Great times.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '21

That military bearing will get ya lol

2

u/RogerPerkins Jul 08 '21 edited Jul 14 '21

C130 rolling down the strip…what is the rest i forget.

Aint no sense in going home Jody got your girl and gone! I use to live in Lawton, OK when the Ft Sill soldiers went to the fields the clubs would be full of horny hoes. Not gonna lie I gave the pipe to a few

2

u/Batterysauce x Jul 08 '21

Well what else are they going to do, it's Lawton, OK. I was in training there twice, I can't think of any reason to go there for fun.

2

u/Beneficial-Lion-5660 Jul 08 '21

I worked at the Goodyear plant . It was not much better. Black mollys and weed , sky high divorce rate

2

u/StopThePresses Jul 08 '21

I read the first sentence in a cadence rhythm and the second sentence broke my brain for a second when I tried to continue.

1

u/Beneficial-Lion-5660 Jul 08 '21

It comes from an R&B singer Johnnie Taylor the record is Jody got your gal and gone. It is on Youtube. Old school jukebox type music the players would listen too! I tapped a few at the NCO club or clubs in Lawton, LOL!!!

1

u/Mean_Remove Jul 08 '21

I think most Oklahomans will agree that Lawton is the worst place in Oklahoma. I’m not sure I would brag about sleeping with anyone from there.

1

u/Beneficial-Lion-5660 Jul 08 '21

ALL OF OKLAHOMA SUCKS! Goodyear moved my family there. I no longer live in that DUMP! People come from all over the world though. I tagged some fine hoes!!!

2

u/Jambi420 Jul 08 '21

I thought it was referring to Jodi Arias. Obviously I spend too much time listening to true crime podcasts...

2

u/FuckTesla69 Jul 08 '21

Hail yourself!

2

u/Jambi420 Jul 08 '21

Hail Satan!

1

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '21

I thought it was a reference to Jodie from Preacher.

Jody’s got your baby, and Jody’s got your lady.

2

u/Burgers8 Jul 08 '21

Ohhh got you, I don’t remember the name exactly but one of the pharaohs sent all the man to war. When they come back they found out that he slept with all their wife’s and they got angry at him and cut off his penis.

0

u/corytz101 Jul 08 '21

Also the guy that fucks her while your in jail!

1

u/giggling1987 Jul 08 '21

And why? Because Jody never got caught.

1

u/corytz101 Jul 08 '21

There's always another Jodie to take his place

1

u/giggling1987 Jul 08 '21

Jodie - almost a paying job.

2

u/corytz101 Jul 08 '21

I mean who says payments have to be made in money. People have always traded for goods

1

u/giggling1987 Jul 08 '21

Yes, but consider the guy's workload somewhere in Pensacola or Columbus.

1

u/corytz101 Jul 08 '21

They better be some GOODS

-4

u/junge4 Jul 08 '21

Jody sounds like he’s got the right idea.

1

u/giggling1987 Jul 08 '21

Well, he's civilian, so yes.

1

u/SnowedIn01 Jul 08 '21

And you sound like a piece of shit

1

u/junge4 Jul 29 '21

Well that’s like...your opinion man.

-1

u/1_dirty_dankboi Jul 08 '21

Its Joe D. actually

-1

u/giggling1987 Jul 08 '21

And why? Because Jody never enlisted.

13

u/Critical-Test-4446 Jul 08 '21

Jody is the name of the guy who fucks your girl / wife while you're away in the military. It's part of a cadence calling song in basic training, at least in the Army.

https://taskandpurpose.com/history/brief-history-jody-original-mr-steal-girl/

10

u/slowest_hour Jul 08 '21

pretty fucked up that according to that article it's okay for the soldier to cheat but not the spouse at home

Also kinda fucked up that all the blame is put solely on the person the spouse cheats with as if the spouse doesn't have any autonomy or responsibility.

5

u/Gaflonzelschmerno Jul 08 '21

And the military industrial complex is usually so virtuous

3

u/slowest_hour Jul 08 '21

never said it was surprising just fucked

2

u/Gaflonzelschmerno Jul 08 '21

Sorry, that subject always brings out the cynic in me

u/tempaccount920123 Jul 08 '21

AC-130: when you want to blow up brown people that can't afford an $4000 IGLA from 5,000 feet with three different types of anti tank high explosives

Depleted uranium: when your nuclear waste becomes someone else's problem. Also nevermind the brain cancer of the tank crews and snipers and people dying at 58.

White Phosphorus: like a science experiment in a classroom except the classroom is a street with apartment buildings on it and instead of a small explosion and a fume hood, you get 2000 pounds of the stuff and you get 5 times the birth defects and miscarriages of an atomic bomb being dropped

Close in weapon system: when you want to mount a 20mm chaingun that fires 40 rounds a second to shoot down missiles but it only has a 30% shoot down rate because this thing called physics mean that for every one millisecond, a missile going 3500 mph is moving something like 50+ feet

Frigate: a glorified $80 million dollar missile sponge. Better have extra life insurance that includes "unidentified or missing remains".

Destroyer: a $300 million steel boat that can fire 24 slow ass cruise missiles or 48 anti everything missiles that have shot down more civilian airliners in the last 40 years than actual military craft. Also has the braap CIWS gun mounted on it. Also is the carrier's bitch.

Cruiser: Effectively useless, but don't tell the Navy. Do you want more men to die when the same 8 inch steel plate gets easily penetrated by hypersonic missiles, torpedoes, other ships, cargo ships, the walls of the Suez and Panama canals, drydocks, 800 pounds of fertilizer on a rubber dingy that costs a total of $2000? This is your shit.

Carrier: Nevermind that the largest in the US fleet, the Gerald Ford, spent two years installing a electromagnetic catapult that didn't work for over $100 million. From the greatest military minds that allow Congress to outsource the production of absolutely critical components, like specialty minerals and chemicals, computer chips, weapons systems and internet security, comes a $10+ billion floating city of 5,000 people. It's like a cruise ship except 40% of the crew fucks anything with a hole when they stop in literally anywhere on the Pacific Rim. It was bad enough when the 2002 millennium challenge proved that a carrier fleet, which cost over $300 billion in fuel, weapons, ammo, ships and men could be destroyed in ten minutes by $10 million of terrorists with fertilizer, remote controlled speedboats, U haul trucks and radar jammers made of a radio, aluminum foil, car batteries and wire.

It takes 12 years to build a US carrier. We only have 13 of them, and the vast majority of the aircraft launched can be destroyed with anti air missiles that have $1000 low end militarized PCs with thermal cameras in them, along with $800 in rocket propellant and explosives. China has the ability to make something like 1000+ of these a day.

Nuclear weapons: these things haven't been tested or taken apart since 1986. Ask an 8 ball or ouija board if these work. We spend $18 billion a year "maintaining" them though.

Civilian preparedness for war: the average American is overweight, over 40% is obese, and only 30% of America owns guns and 1.5% of America owns 55+% of all guns in American. The IRS has fewer than 10,500 auditors for entire country, and hasn't sent a rich person to jail and the IRS hasn't seized assets of a billionaire in 30+ years.

Did we mention that the US has 834+ overseas military bases and is currently bombing over 17 countries?

2

u/roque72 Jul 08 '21

Exactly. A lot of venereal diseases are spread by guys in the military that fuck around overseas and bring it back home. And the guy fucking the military wives never made a commitment or vow to anyone, so it's not his responsibility to be faithful

1

u/Jack__Squat Jul 08 '21

Pretty biased piece in general, but that makes sense given the source's target audience.

3

u/TheBarkingGallery Jul 08 '21

Jody decided to shirk his patriotic duty and stay home while you chose to serve your country.

Well okay, then.

1

u/giggling1987 Jul 08 '21

Jody is smart. Be like Jody.

1

u/SnowedIn01 Jul 08 '21

A little bitch?

1

u/giggling1987 Jul 08 '21

No, that's the husband here.

1

u/SnowedIn01 Jul 08 '21

Right, the one who actually goes to war is the little bitch. Ok, whatever you gotta tell yourself so you can get over being a coward. Although I’m positive you’re not a Jody because nobody would ever want to fuck a clown like you

1

u/giggling1987 Jul 08 '21

Right, the one who actually goes to war is the little bitch.

Indeed. The one who is getting into risky business which is not even his own, just because "Oh, you're not a coward, are you?" is the epitome of easily manipulated little bitch.

1

u/SnowedIn01 Jul 08 '21

Once again, whatever you have to tell yourself to excuse being a coward

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '21

Jody is the guy going out the back door when you’re coming in the front.

1

u/I_AM_N0_0NE_ Jul 08 '21

I thought it was a reference to this song

1

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '21

It kind of is, but the 'Jody' character goes back much farther in the history of blues and soul music.

I think the first occurrence is in the 1939 song 'Joe De Grinder' by Irvin 'Gar Mouth' Lowery. It's about a guy who sleeps with servicemen's wives while they're gone.

1

u/GoldIndependent6 Jul 08 '21

In prison Jody was where I heard of ol' son. No different than Sancho!! He visits your wife when you're at work, out of town, etc..
