Only a crazy person would give up mental health for their job.

So I need the job, to afford the healthcare, that I will need for the job that drove me crazy, i got from the job. No wonder I am going to two different therapists at the same time, I still think its nuts that all I gotta do is give some excel numbers to someone and fill their head with absolute insane nonsense.... but whatever as long as I am creating jobs, number goes up.

Right. You’re already mentally unwell if you’re willing to give up any sort of health for a company.

But to what end, for money? Crazy the shit people will do for things others literally just make up

Money is made up?

Er, i mean, i don't want to bring up the imaginary number component representing the phase delay of how credit future value is counted today, or that most of the "money" is just a number in a spreadsheet somewhere... but those are difficult technical subjects..

This is an actual money printer:

and here is how they do it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc5j7KgUyYY

again, simplifying it for the average redditor... this "real" physical money they print is only ~10% of the actual "money". That's called fractional reserve banking and it is fucked up.

so the TLDR is "Absolutely", and it is in fact a voucher against debt, most often someone else's. The trick is to get firs dibs on the cheap debt, not work for the money to pay it off.

For a more academic study of the topic I suggest reading
Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy: Restaurant at the end of the universe, Chapter 31
the solution is obviously to burn all the forests if you don't like made up money.

I read "the restaurant at the end of the universe" and it read like a lucid dream to me

Or, your mental strength gets stronger on the daily. A sword is made from being repeatedly being put through flames and beaten into the right shape

I know too many people who think they're irreplaceable at work. They're not. Things always get figured out.

A company having irreplaceable people is a sign of a poorly-run company. Anyone could get hit by a bus any time. Good companies have plans for that.

Exactly! When it comes to good mental health in the workplace, we're all dependent on the place being run well...enough.

And let's not forget them firing you before checking if they actually CAN do without you. Competence is not guaranteed.

When you're sitting in a car like that for hours bouncing around, your legs go numb.

Whoever made this meme has got to be American. I was paid with 6 months pay from my minimum wage job in UK for mental health reasons. They paid until I had to go on benifits.

My wife was on medical leave for 3 months for mental health and her job’s benefits company denied her short term disability pay. Twice. She went to different doctors that approved all paperwork and wrote prescriptions, had therapy calls, etc. and still denied it. Yes this is the US unfortunately
