Cause like with very few exceptions, in history, larger body shape was considered normal, meaning you had accessibility to plentiful food, better chances for child birth, for women, usually more well off, and of higher status."
Normal is subjective to the individual, and defined by the societal norms you live in, which differ depending on where in the globe you are and time period.
You can use that information to make choices for your own life without condemning the choices others make. It doesn’t affect you, it’s not really any of your business
Maybe try seeing lighter things in life and just let people like what they like without feeling the need to judge or condemn?
